5 important elements
of a healthy Mindset

'I just did something'

About 4 years ago I read a book by Michael Pilarczyk: Master your mindset. It was the first time that I really came into contact with personal and spiritual development.

At that time I was still studying. I was finishing my bachelor's degree and had registered for a one-year master's degree.

As a schoolchild and student I was known as 'serious'; I thought deeply about my study choices, extra activities (just to boost that CV) and job opportunities.

But I felt like I was 'just doing something'. I just went with the flow. Went to college because everyone went to college. Thinking about possible jobs because everyone did that.

The book I read was one of the starting points in my journey to creating my own life. I started reading more books, attended personal development events and started thinking seriously about...

possibility to work full-time as a freelancer after graduating.

Changing mindset

And all because I consciously changed my mindset. I started convincing myself that I can create my own life.

That I can think every day about what my best life will be like. I don't have to follow the beaten path, but I can decide for myself which way I go.

And that really felt like a liberation. From 'I'll see where I will be in 5 years' to 'what do I want my life to be like in 5 years?' What a difference!
